No fooling! The most important time to learn about c-section is BEFORE your first baby! The World Health Organization calls for a max c-section rate of 15% in any nation in the world. Anything above that "seems to result in more harm than good," according to the British medical journal Lancet 2006. Did you know that about 32% of all U.S. births are now c-section? Does this sound necessary? Of course not! Think about it - really sit down and consider why, and whether you are willing to be uninformed at birthing time. In 1965, c-sections were only about 5% and infant and mother mortality were similar to today's rates. Who does "defensive medicine" really help? Hmmmm.....
